Amarnath Tour Itinerary: 3 Days - 2 Nights
Here, we shared the detailed itinerary for the 3-day, 2-night Amarnath Yatra tour via helicopter.
It is the most important part of any yatra, where pilgrims must know the satisfactory itinerary of their plan. Although you can return from Amarnath in one day, we would not recommend this to you. The best helicopter itinerary for the Amarnath Yatra is for three days, about which we have shared complete information below. After seeing this, the travelers will not face any problems in selecting their plans.
Day 1: Arrival in Srinagar & Transfer to Sonamarg/Baltal
Morning:
If you are coming by plane, then you have to come to Sheikh Ul-Alam International Airport, Srinagar. Our representative will guide you there and pick you up from the airport.
Afternoon:
Our representative will take you to Sonamarg/Baltal, which is about 80–100 km (50–62 miles) from Srinagar airport. It will take you 3–4 hours by road to complete this journey. During this journey, we will have lunch in a local restaurant or dhaba and finally check in at a hotel or camp in Sonamarg or Baltal, depending on your preference.
Evening:
Pilgrims have evening time in which they can enjoy the beauty of Sonmarg and more. Dinner at the hotel or camp and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Baltal to Amarnath Cave and Return
Early Morning:
In the early morning, take breakfast and get ready to go on a helicopter ride from Baltal to Panjtarni. Keep your heli ticket and ID card for boarding. The flight duration is approximately 10 minutes.
Morning:
I am now going to Amarnath Cave by trek. Panjtarni to Amarnath Cave is 6 km (3.7 miles). Pony and Palanquin options are also available for those who prefer not to walk.
Afternoon:
Now it is time to return to Panjtarni and during this time we will also have lunch. After lunch, we will take a helicopter from Panjtarni to Baltal and back to Srinagar by road.
Evening:
Arrive at a hotel or camp in Srinagar. Enjoy dinner and relax for the night.
Day 3: Srinagar Sightseeing and Departure
Morning:
After breakfast, we will see Srinagar's local landmarks. A Shikara boat trip allows you to see the tranquil beauty of Dal Lake. Visit renowned gardens like Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, and Chashme Shahi. The Mughals created these gardens.
Afternoon:
Pilgrims also explore the beautiful local markets and buy some products like handicrafts, Kashmiri items, and more. Enjoy famous Kashmiri foods at a local restaurant.
Evening:
Now is the time to end the yatra and go to Srinagar Airport according to your flight time.
